Today's my last day in D.C. The last few days have been a flurry of outprocessing, last minute meetings, and painting on the National Mall whenever I had the chance. The painting went well, although I think I suffered from mild heat stroke each time, since we're enduring some pretty unpleasant heat and humidity.

Of the paintings I finished these last couple days, the above view of the Jefferson Monument is my favorite.

I'm allowing two days to tow my camper down to our little farm. Then I'll enjoy a month and a half of leave, during which time I may not be painting much. Instead, I plan on installing a dog fence, doing some home repairs, and most of all, getting into the pool with my family every afternoon.
