Path to Guincho

Here's a painting I've had on the worktable for a long, long time.  I knew for months that it wasn't finished, but wasn't sure what was missing.  Over the last couple of days I added contrast and defined things better by their shadows.  Now I can say it's done.

Drama!

This and the aqueduct have that mood.

Thank you, Ran. I don't really do New Years resolutions, but my intent, starting around the beginning of the year, has been to not pass up the opportunity to make full use of color and contrast in my paintings. I wouldn't have come up with that word as a description of what I'm working toward, but I think it's apt. Cheers!
