Daddy Daughter Dance

Recently the US Embassy here in Lisbon hosted a Daddy Daughter Dance. Zoe and I went and had a great time. When I look at her in this picture, taken in our front yard, I'm surprised to see what a young lady she has become. She and her brother grew so much while I was in Saudi Arabia that it's hard for me to adjust to it. (I'm also a little surprised at how old I look, but mostly I'm surprised by her.)

Congrats Steven! Much happiness to you and your family. Will they be with you in Portugal?

Thank you Ran. They're with me now. It's hard to say what's the bigger adjustment for them, getting used to living overseas for the first time, or getting used to having me around again after two years.

Your kids are fortunate on both counts. My career took me to places all over the world - places I hope to bring my family one day. Which reminds me - I'd better get back to this contract set.

Cheers!
