Daraiyah is an ancient walled city on the outskirts of Riyadh. The substantial ruins there are being pulled down and a sort of replica is being built. This mosque is one of the remaining old buildings.
Your watercolors are wonderful! I was trying to find an email link to drop you a line, but this was the best I could find.
I saw your name over at Dr. Helens, and followed the link to your paintings. Beautiful! Some gave me a sense of old Chinese brush paintings, while others reminded me of JRR Tolkien's original work.
You do lovely trees, by the way. I especially liked "Tree, Carmel Beach."
Not nearly as patient as I'd like to be, but I'm learning here in the land of insha' Allah. I started painting on my first deployment when my wife hid a set of watercolors in my gear.

Tool bad they're pulling down the old stuff. Some things can't be replaced once lost.
