I love views that emphasize light and shadow. The valleys and canyons here provide lots of them.

September Ranch

September Ranch is two miles from our place down Carmel Valley Road. They've got some beautiful horses there, and I've always promised myself I'd paint some.

Sunset, Carmel Knolls

This is the view across the street from our house as the sun is setting into the ocean. I've been meaning to paint this tree in this setting for quite a while now. I'm glad I've finally gotten the chance.
