Cypress, Sand City

In the nearby town of Sand City stands this cypress tree. If you were standing in this painting a highway interchange would be right behind you. Were the tree not perfectly framed by an overpass, I may never have seen it, but I think it's a perfect example of these beautiful trees.

Zach and I went camping in the mountains just south of Yosemite this weekend. He and I both took some spectacular photographs which should be turning into paintings pretty soon. Watch this space over the next few days for a change from coastal to mountain landscapes.
